Thanks to modern technology and modern methods of psychology, it is no longer necessary to have Brown Shirts or Gestapo-like police forces terrorizing the people. All the important fascists came from socialist/syndicalist backgrounds, with some having works recommended by Lenin, like Giovanni Gentile.
