Does this mean he likes me or is just coincidence?
So I've noticed with me and this guy, I will say something like we should hang out and he will complain and basically say no. A few days/weeks later (whenever I'm home from college) he will ask me what I'm doing that particular day and we will hang out. I feel like by me mentioning it I'm planting a seed in his head and eventually he falls and asks me to hang out. Does this mean he may like me? Other things he does makes me feel like he does but does this signify anything?

you might be right in your perception but you need to exercise some level of cautions, as he might take you for a ride since you were the one who initiated the relationship. you must be patient enough to see the gradual germination of the seed you have planted. Essentially, do not submit to him immediately.
