01 Ford Focus died, won't turn over?

So I was driving the car and stopped at a red light. It died. I started it up again just fine. Then I drove for a bit and it died again. This time it won't turn over, at all. All the lights and radio work. When I turn the key it makes a long beep sound. I tried jumping it it still wouldn't do anything. The alternator has had to be replaced twice before this. I have no idea what's wrong with it. Any ideas?

Lights and radio are not enough to say the battery is good or bad - you need a lot of amperage to start the car - much more than is needed for any or all of the accessories.

It could be the alt/bat/ or any number of other electrical issues - someone will need to do some testing on the alt and battery first and eliminate those first (testing is easy and cheap to do).

Any after market item or thing recently installed. If so, get the vehicle back to the same place so they can check and correct the mishap.. during installation..

Other that that, you're looking at a really really dead dead battery. If it's more than 5 years old. Replace it and recheck the charging system, this check is included the alternator, all related cables of the alternator and battery including the battery terminals..

Long beeping sounds can be found in the owners manual. They would be under how to start your car, things like depress the clutch or be sure it is in park. Read the book it will be in there and if you don't have the book look online for one.
