Ideas for something a homeschooler could do to make friends?

So, I'm a 15 year old girl and I'm home schooled. But I'm not the stereotypical weird and shy homeschooler!

I want to make some friends because most of the time I'm just at home doing schoolwork which gets to be really boring.

My town is really small and there aren't a lot of things to do in it unless you go to public school. There is sort of a drama club, but again, you have to go to the school to be take part.

Any suggestions on something I could do? I don't like sports very much and I've already been in 4-H, but I quit, so don't suggest that.

Please take your time answering; I'm patient and I'll give the points to the best answer, not the first.

Thank you so much!

Update:

I'm not religious, so I don't want to do anything at a church.

Update 2:

I don't want to sit on the internet and make friends, Chelsea.

Think about what's available in your community to kids your age. It'll vary a bit from one place to another. And as you know, small towns tend to offer less than larger communities. You could take martial arts or dance. Those aren't usually school sports and appeal to teens and involve groups. Don't write them off because they're sports. Martial arts is about self-defense and mental focus as much as it is a sport. Do you have a town youth center? Some do. Some don't. Check out your local parks and rec department if you have one. They probably offer recreational classes for teens or young adults. Mine does on Saturdays. Rainbow girls is another idea. Volunteering is a good idea. You will likely meet people of all ages who volunteer at an animal shelter. You might not meet other teens to hang out with there, but it'll get you out of the house and you'll feel good about it. Once you turn 16, start looking for a part-time job. My daughter has met some really good friends through her part-time job.

Try out different things. So you don't like them and you quit, no biggy. I can't tell you how many times I've started and stopped going to the gym. ;-) Keep an open mind. Anything is worth trying.

Same here :P My brother and sister go a bit out of town to a church and they go to a youth group there and they have many friends. Maybe look into churches around you or maybe my sister takes dance lessons and she has a few friends, try taking lessons for something you like :)

There is always volunteering. Check with your local police and fire depts. Check with the animal shelter, Library, food bank and hospital. Take riding classes, or dance or music. Learn a craft. Learn to fly a plane. There is a lot you can do. Reenacting is perfect if you like history.
