How do people live with Celiac Disease?

I'm wondering how some people can do the gluten-free diet without being miserable all their life.

I love noodles, cheeseburgers, cakes, cookies, sandwhiches. I even wanted to be a chef or a baker when I got old enough (I'm 16.) However, it so happens to be that I might have Celiac disease.. How do people cope with this? I would rather die than not enjoy my favorite foods, honestly. It's such a restriction it's annoying to the core. Even so, how can you stand having dinner with your family when they all get to enjoy their favorite foods? Can you even eat out?

Once you get use to it it's pretty easy. More and more places are catering to celiac these days and the paleo diet that's popular right now is gluten-free. You can still cook and bake you just have to learn different ingredients and rules (like alway use metal spoons to avoid cross-contamination.

It's very possible to live without eating gluten and be happy, you just need to broaden your food choices. It can be a much more healthy lifestyle. Eat to live; don't live to eat.

When they do eat those foods, they feel horribly sick. It puts you off craving those foods pretty quickly
