Does anyone know an old fashioned corn bread recipe that is dripping with honey?

For years my dad talked about this older woman that used to make corn bread for the neighborhood kids. He described it so perfectly: dripping w/ delicious goey (sp?) honey. I've tried quite a few honey cornbread recipes through the years, but never got it just right. I wondered if anyone has a gramma's or probably even great gramma's honey cornbread recipe? It has to be oozing honey. It would be such an awesome surprise if I finally got it perfect for him. Thanks for any help!! Happy Holidays!!

Um the honey would not literally drip out of the corn bread. If you topped the cornbread with honey then yes it would drip off and out.

You can't make cornbread, or anything baked, and have it come out of the oven so it's dripping or oozing with honey. The honey will dry up as it gets baked and isn't going to drip anywhere. I'd say your dad had cornbread with honey put on it after baking.
