When is next Space Shuttle Launch?

I though they were preparing to launch this week in response to cooling pump repair on the space station.

The 32nd of Neverary. The last space shuttle flight was in 2011. All the space shuttles are sitting in museums.

Beyond that, the space station repairs are going to be done by the people that are already on the station. No launch is necessary. A cargo rocket that was going to be launched was cancelled, due to the repairs, if that's what you're going on about. No launch is necessary to conduct the repairs.....

The astronauts currently aboard the International Space Station will perform a spacewalk to repair the cooling pump, but this does not require a rocket launch.

NASA's Space Shuttles have been retired. There won't be any more launches of those. They were getting old and flying them was very expensive and labor intensive, more so than had been planned when they were being designed decades ago.

There are still frequent rocket launches. NASA's launch schedule has two rocket launches in January 2014 and two more in February 2014. You can read about them at this link. The schedule includes both US and Russian launches.

the actual space shuttles have been retired and decommissioned. they are no longer used due to over use and age.

nasa has been turning to other countries and even private companies like space-x to help keep the space station going.

canada typically uses russian soyuz rockets to bring astronauts to the station so i am guessing the US would do the same. they have also been working more and more with private companies, most notably space-x.

but there are not going to be any more launches of actual shuttles. nasa is currently focusing on the next rocket ships they will use. they hope to be able to make a rocket that could withstand a longer journey, say to mars. though they probably do not have all the funding they will need to do that. since the money nasa uses comes from taxes paid by the people.

The last Space Shuttle launch was about two & 1/2 years ago, on July 8, 2011. Guess you didn't heard the news about it. The US depends on the Russian Soyuz now. (Progress for unmanned cargo missions).

The next scheduled Soyuz launch is for March 2014.

The Space shuttle has been retired... they had planned an unmanned supply craft launch (I believe this Friday) to the station, however because of the problems with the coolant system, it's been postponed. There are 3 emergency (which basically means unplanned) spacewalks scheduled to attempt a fix to the coolant system.

    Never.

The American shuttle no longer flies.

What they did prepare, are "spacewalks" to go and fix the pumps.

no more space shuttle launches, ever

You missed it. NASA has to depend on the Russians to get us there now.
