Who was in the wrong before in this situation. Me, my dad or both of us?
I had an argument with my dad just before. Basically, I was rocking back and forth sat in the armchair, which was supposedly annoying him. (I don't know why, I wasn't in the way of the TV or anything), so he told me to stop doing it. I should also mention that I have asperger's syndrome (a mild form of autism), which is why the rocking back and forth occurred - repetitive movements are one of the symptoms of autism, so stopping myself from doing it isn't as easy as some people would think.
I explained that it's down to my autism, but he wouldn't listen to me, which doesn't make sense in particular because it's believed when I got the diagnosis, my autism comes from my dad's side of the family.
It wasn't until my mum asked me to go and fill the kettle up that I stopped. As I stood up I saw that my dad was holding one of his A4 diaries up so it blocked his vision of me for some odd reason. Going to fill the kettle up stopped the argument before it became physical, but who was wrong in this situation? Me, my dad or both or us?

From what you said I think that maybe he was in the wrong, since it's not your fault you can't stop. But maybe he was just feeling stressed, out of line, or something like that and snapped at you with out really meaning to offend you. I would suggest just forgetting about the whole situation, but if it occurs again talk to your dad about your condition then maybe he will understand more.

It sounds to me like you had a normal family moment. We live together, sometimes we all get on each others nerves. Sometimes the smallest thing just drives you nuts at that paticular moment, and at any other time you would not even notice it. Dont beat youself up or blame your dad just let it go.
