Why is almost every question in R&P about some stupid "metal" bands like SWS and PTV and PATD?
I don't even like metal...

Hey You!
I understand how you feel about the supposed "metal" bands that most teenagers you could say, almost get to the point that they worship those bands. I get annoyed almost every day when I walk to another classroom in high school and I start seeing these kids that think that just because Asking Alexandria has downtuned guitars, or the guy from Alesana has some "brutal" vocals, doesn't mean that they are the best bands ever in metal. Even the band members from Alesana has cited that Iron Maiden is one of their influences, something that I know for sure that post hardcore kids don't even know as a fact.
One thing that really gets me mad is that they also imitate the hairstyles of the those bands and they are like "uuggh, Im so metal because I have my hair all wavy even though I look like Justin Bieber". If they want to make real metal fashion statements they should have their hair like Max Cavalera back in the Chaos AD days or have their hair like Marten Hagstrom. Todays scene metal bands look like boy bands, the girls don't even pay attention to the music, I mean, Im not going to buy Carly Rae Jepsens albums even though I think she is very gorgeous. In other words, music should be about the meaning of it, the spirit of it, not just because stupid Danny Worsnop is good looking for them.
Every time I want to go to answer in this website, Im expecting questions about bands like Kreator, Meshuggah, Necrophagist, Sepultura, In Flames, or any other great metal band, not Sleeping With Sirens or Pierce The Veil!
Well I hope you liked my answer You!
HAVE A GOOD DAY! AND KEEP HEADBANGING TO THE REAL METAL!

Well, you're exaggerating quite a bit.
But it's because the R&P section is mostly full of obsessed teenagers and trolls.
I've lost track of the number of times I've heard "screamo" applied to bands that it doesn't even remotely describe.
I suppose the biggest reason is because that's what's popular right now, and most people latch onto whatever the trendiest bands are. I don't consider any of those bands even close to metal, but to kids that were born in the late 90s that's what metal is, because they've never heard of any older bands that aren't already world famous. (Metallica, Pantera, Slipknot, etc.)

Because that's the mainstream kind of metal at the moment. A few years ago, it was all about Nu Metal. Linkin Park, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, Korn, etc... And a few years before that, it was all about Punk rock (Blink-182 and Green Day kind of Punk). And before that, during the 80's, it was all about Thrash Metal, and before Thrash Metal, it was all about the original Punk Rock (Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash etc...). That's just how it is. One genre goes out, another goes in.
I guess Punk isn't dead after all. It keeps disappearing for a while, but always manages to come back in a more evolved form. First we had its original form. After disappearing for pretty much a decade, it came back in a more time-appropriate and more poppy sort (the Green Day/Blink-182 era). And after those disappeared for almost a decade as well, it still came back in the form of Metalcore and Post-Hardcore. After all, Metalcore and Post-Hardcore came from Hardcore Punk.

Patd metal? Lol. I can actually imagine someone stating that. I actually like all 3 bands, but they are very mainstream and have an annoying 'this song saved my life' fanbase.

It's mainstream and most of the teenagers are obsessed with them because "the singer is soooo cute omg omg!!!!1!"

Well, it's because it's the music some teens in this generation like. The teens of the 80's like their music but the perversions generation hated it. It's always been like this. I personally like metal(A7X, SlipKnot) and the kinda of bands you listed(Punk rock or hard rock or metalcore I believe) But people ask question about them because if they love the band they want to learn about it.
