I just got braces and i cant stand them?
Ok i have a few questions. I just got braces a few hours ago and so far they are hell. Ok sooo first, i cant chew. I have an overbite and The front braces stick out so that my overbite cant go down all the way, and it hurts a lot. When i rest my top teeth on the bottom brackets it hurts. Is this how its supposed to be? And also i cant chew!! Because my top teeth rest on the bottom brackets, my back teeth that i chew with dont touch. And in order to chew, your teeth kind of HAVE to touch. But they dont..

I had similar problems, I couldn't eat properly for a good few days, the only thing you can do is wait till the pain passes if you still have problems in a week I'd check to see if all is okay with you dentist. With eating I'd recommend pasta cooked till its rally soft and take slow chews as well as soups.

I had braces, and my mouth was very very sore the first few day, your mouth is adjusting to the braces trying to move your teeth, every time you go to the orthodontist they will adjust your wire, so it will be sore for a bit.

Sorry! It's going to hurt for a while. When your braces are first tightened you won't be able to eat for a day or so.
