Xbox 360 HDMI Cable Help? Please?

I recently been thinking about buying an HDMI Cable for my Xbox 360, when I play games like Far Cry 3 and Assasins Creed there are 2 big black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, so if I buy an HDMI Cable will they go away?

    Unfortunately no. Sounds like they're playing in widescreen format on a fullscreen TV, because that's what happens when I play Creed (on a fullscreen TV). Have you tried changing the playback or game settings? May or may not help.
