Should I be concerned about wisdom teeth removal?
Tomorrow I am getting 4 wisdom teeth pulled while staying awake with novicaine and laughing gas to calm me down. Is laughing gas going to make me all crazy? How bad is the pain afterwards? Is there any pain during surgery?

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. However, I also had two metal, anchoring implants put in at the same time. I was not awake. In fact, as I came to, I kept repeating, "I want to be asleep. I want to be asleep." But more power to you for choosing to stay awake.
I think I laid on the couch for pretty much the entire weekend. I was in discomfort when I was awake, but it wasn't any worse than a mild headache. However, most of my discomfort came from my implants, not from my missing teeth. I didn't have very good pain meds either. Just switched to Advil after the second day. They worked just as well.
All in all, it's not bad. A lazy weekend at home while you feel a bit under the weather, and you're off to your normal self in no time.
Good luck!

the worst part of getting wisdom teeth out and being awake is the pressure you feel. You don't feel any pain just a really weird pressure from them pulling out your tooth. If you don't take the meds they subscribe then you probably will be in pain but as long as you take them you should be fine.
