Why did it take me so long to realize I was gay?
I figured out I was gay in 7th grade. At the time I thought that was really early but went with it anyways. Except. I found out I was late. My gf found out she was when she was in 4th. My best friend figured it out when he was in 5th. And my aunt figured out she was when she was 8. So why did it take me so much longer? Also. How come I liked guys still? Like I REALLY liked guys as well. Well I mean, I thought I did. I have liked guys, mostly JUST guys until just recently. Why? How come a change? Right now I'm only 16. But still. I feel like so late and like a failure compared to the rest. How come it took me 13 years to figure out that I like women...?

Because you may well not be. Be honest with yourself- if your current relationship ever ends are you 100% sure you would want to be with a woman rather than a man?

you said you had a girlfriend so you weren't always gay. you just fully transitioned in the 7th grade
it took me awhile to be gay. i turned gay at 18 and never regretted my transition.

i didn't realize i was into guys until i was 18, and its a lot more common for people to find out later in life
