Anyone know something about BB cream?

Alright so I've been hearing a lot of good things about BB cream lately but well...I'm not much of a makeup person...really not at all. But I heard it's easy to use and so I'm just wondering. I'm a ginger so I have pale skin but freckles (lots of them) as well as red cheeks.

What kind of BB cream would even be a good fit if any?

Update:

Okay please to make this short. I know what a BB cream does and is. I know where it originated, I know how to put it on and I know all it's many benefits so please don't mistake my lack of knowledge for skin tones and comparability for being naive about the entire product, it's fairly insulting.

Urban decay has my absolute favorite bb (urban decay naked skin beauty balm broad spectrum spf 20 dna repairing optical blurring oil free) cream because it is matifying and works for every skintone. Its rather on the pricey side but otherwise i use the maybelline dream fresh bb cream (8 in 1 beauty balm skin perfector titanium dioxide sunscreen broad spectrum spf 30) which is cheaper but a little more greasy.

BB Creams are really nice and light. They give you quite good coverage and are very easy and smooth to apply. You can use your hand or a stippling brush.

There are quite a few different types of BB Creams though.

The most popular would have to be Maybelline or Garnier. Or if you are looking for a VERY cheap BB Cream, then you can buy the Essence BB Cream for about $5

    Hope this helped.

    Alright Azlyn.

First of all, BB creams originated in Asia. They stand for "beauty balm". BB creams are just a happy medium between a tinted moisturizer/foundation and skin care. BB creams can have a lot of skin care factors such as USV protection, whitening of the skin, and anti aging properties. Some beauty factors are blurring our imperfections and priming the face. (which basically means you can use a regular foundation over your BB cream because your BB cream can act like a primer). Most of the Bb creams you see are light to medium coverage, but if you get a good one you could cover up your freckles and redness. I prefer the loreal BB cream, but if you have a chance go on amazon and look up korean BB creams like etude house and especially missha.

Finding a BB cream that matches the color of your skin perfectly can also be a challenge. BB creams tend to come in a small range of shades -- usually three to five fair to medium-dark hues -- or in a single shade that blends with all skin tones.

Try Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm

You can choose korean bb creams and I would recommend etude house precious mineral bb cream. It provides luminous finish, pore coverage, healthy looking, SPF 30/PA++, wrinkle care. It will also cover your freckles and your blushing. Hope I was able to help you. I provide links below so you can read more.

Clinique has some really good ones, you can have a consultation at any department store, like Von Maur or Younkers and they will help you find the right color or type that would be best for you.

Otherwise there's cheaper versions at your drugstores by Garnier, Maybelline, Aveno..etc.

BB creams are lighter than foundations, this means they have lighter coverage, feel lighter but have SPF.

CC creams are basically the same but have more coverage

Try garnier's BB cream. it masks any blemishes pretty well and reduces redness
