Is a 3.6 an ok GPA for a college freshman?

I know it ain't the best but it's only my first semester. And for some reason I took 8 science credits and I suck at science. Oops. Anyhow, if I do better next semester do I still have a chance of getting into grad school?

A 3.6 is very good. Especially it being 8 science credits, ( how you got away with that is a mystery).

a 3.6 GPA is about a 91 average. You are a freshman that will change as you take heavier course loads the highest GPA is 4.0 which is 95-100, anyway its good. and don't worry about grad school considering you just finished your first or 2nd semester, you still have 6 more semesters until you get a bachelors degree, so don't sweat it.

3.6 is great... you are having to learn how to be on your own... budgeting your time.... finding a balance between scholastics and having fun..... good for you... you have plenty of time to either keep it above 3.5.... or raise it... keep up the good work.

Is fine unless you're capable of getting a 4.0.
