95 Honda Civic Headlight bulb help...?

Okay so my driver side headlight bulb if messed up..gotta tap the headlight to make it work...soooo I went to Wal-Mart and got a whole new set of bulbs..now the driver sides NEW bulb only works when its on HIGH beams....BUT When I do turn on the high beams...the driver side turns on but now the Passenger side light goes out. One lights high and the other is low...when I drive at night I have to hold the high beams down half way to have both lights on....any help??? Thx

    Wrong bulb application. If not then go to the nearest repair shop. It won't be much. Save you a ticket if a cop spot you at night.
