Is this how you view love?

http://nsa06.casimages.com/img/2009/04/05/09040508...

This is how I see LOVE.

I am interested in how others view this painting.

Update:

Evidently my question was a bit too complicated having seen two the the three answers so far.

I was not asking for a critique of the artists abilities but of the symbolism.

How do you view the symbolism?

Wow. No. To me that painting is sinister. It reminds me of the film adaption of Titus Andronicus, after they've cut out Lavinia's tongue and chopped off her hands and replaced them with tree branches to prevent her from reporting rape.

Sorry, but the painting is poor - a teenage, emo, fantasy. It is obvious, lacking in imagination, depth, subtlety and artistic integrity.

For those who don't do links - it's The Kiss by Klimt

It is a nice photograph and can be view with different meanings depending on the person. It does not appear to be depressing or sad. Maybe lonely for your lover.

This picture tells the sad TRUTH of LOVE. The Truth for LOVE is that it starts from a warm HEART but always ends up in a BUBBLE, which I interpret LOVE = HEART WITHIN A BUBBLE. And it will burst. And do not expect too much from it that you will be disappointed.

Nope, not for me. Love is interaction between people, not isolation. Also, it seems ethereal - dreamy, drug trippy - interesting perhaps, but not love. I wonder why you assume your question was too complicated for the other responders - perhaps they understood it immediately and thoroughly and just disagreed with your assessment?

Just because someone disagrees with us is not evidence that they did not understand.

Her taking off her robe as becoming vulnerable.

The bird is freedom. The steps in between represent pitfalls and dangers.

The tree is the tree of life.

That is what you call "kitsch".
