battery power supply question?
I need a portable power supply that will output about 36-40 volts at 3-3.5 amps for a total output of about 100 watts. I can't seem to find any batteries of a reasonable size that will provide this power. Lithium coin cells don't seem to be able to output more than 100-200 mA at most, lithium 18650 batteries could probably provide enough amperage but I would need 8-10 of them to provide enough voltage.
Does anyone know any small batteries I could use to give me this power output???
Thank you in advance!
Perhaps I should further clarify, the point of this power supply is for a handheld device. Lead acid batteries are far too big. I'm talking about a battery power supply for a 100 watt LED flashlight

First off you numbers indicate 108 to 140 watts of power required, not 100 watts. It makes a difference as LED lamps usually require constant current to maintain a certain lumen output level.
Batteries you might try are available from Amazon. See the references given below. You will need at least three I would suggest four in series with a current regulator circuit to supply your lamps.
You also didn't say but do you already have the flashlight? What does it use? If your making this flashlight, these batteries will work for you but probably not last much beyond 1 to 2 minutes at the 140 watt level (140 = 40*3.5), but again you did not specify how long you wanted to operate the flashlight.
If you want to operate longer(See the second reference.), you have to go bigger at the voltage levels you want; or use the third reference battery but you'll need at least 10 in series .
Hope this helps,
