I got a C in evolutionary biology, should I retake it?

I am a freshman and this was my first semester at college. Anyway, I got a C+ in evolutionary biology and I am a bio major planning on going into med school. Should I retake the course? Reason why I didn't do so well is because I was still adjusting to the whole college scene. All my other classes I did well in, it's just this class that is killing me. Is retaking it a good choice?

    Your GPA has to be high (> 3.5). and if this brings it down, you might as well.

    Oh my God, no. One C isn't going damage your entire resume and you can always brush up on the subject later.
