How long is a pumpkin squash and butternut squash good?

I got them for Thanksgiving and just forgot to do anything with them. How do I tell if they're good or not?

    Kept cool they are good for months. That is why they are called Winter Squash. They actually are better when older. They lose moisture. Butternut Squash from the cellar in Feb. is great.

    If there are any soft indentations in them, then they are off. Otherwise, they can last a good while.

    If You don't leave Fingerprints when you Squeeze them, -They're still Good. :)
