How to make Colloidal Copper?

i have a copper wire which i want to turn into colloidal copper nano particles. i heard its good for health in small amounts.

what steps should i take? do i need to do electrolysis?

    Very long ones (steps that is , and run away)

    Copper -- and indeed all metals -- are dangerous if consumed.

    For instance Copper is widely used as an algicide . (to kill algae type plants)
