My dog ate grapes, will he be okay?
He is 65 pounds and he ingested three grapes. I was told to give him hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting and I did. He threw up a couple times. Will he be okay now? I am just so worried because everyone is telling me that grapes can cause sudden death.

I doubt 3 grapes will kill a 65lb dog.
Who told you to give the dog hydrogen peroxide? You should never induce vomiting unless told to do so by a Vet, you could have just caused more issue then the actual ingestion of the grapes would have caused.
NEVER induce vomitnig without talking to your Vet. Simple case of overreacting.

It's good you got him to vomit, but to be sure speak to your vet or poison control, he may still need to go to the vet and be put on IV fluids. Do you have Toxiban? (Activated Charcoal) If so, give him that also so what ever he didn't get up it will absorb the toxins. If there is still even the smallest amount in him he could go into renal failure.
Reality, Peroxide is perfectly safe given in the correct dosage. Never induce vomiting if anything caustic has been swallowed as that is when it will cause a problem but for chocolate, grapes, raisins etc. It is what is recommended. I've used it several times along with the toxiban but you should always check with a vet first and follow up with a vet. Emetics in cases like this need to be given less than two hours after ingesting after that it won't work, so if it's been more than two hours your best bet is to get to a vet.

whoa, my dog is 45 pounds and she has swallowed a few grapes before I know they are bad but dont go around inducing vomiting and you might want to call your vet instead of asking random people on yahoo answer when it comes to your dog and sudden death then the issue has passed asking yahoo answers call someone who actually can help you not random opinions
