Question about Macbook and wireless?

I am buying a MacBook

My question is, is this: I want to make sure that the wireless (Apple Airport I'm assuming) will work with my current set up. My current PC which is connected thru the modem is a Windows Machine.

Will I need to change anything with the modem or router? Can I just connect the MacBook as I connect my work laptop and iPhone?

If there is anything I need to change, I'm not sure I'll go thru with this. I need it to work for my phone, and as well as my families computer. I am just intrigued how Mac works and found a really good deal on a used one.

Macs were the first mainstream computers to have WiFi connectivity and so all other computers work the same as Macs - like they do in most other aspects they being poorly implemented variants of Macs. If your router is using standard 802.11 protocols (it will be) then the Mac will just connect to it when you turn it on and type in the password.

A full priced Mac is a really good deal and great value for money.

Intrigued about what? The fact that it's grossly over priced? The fact that it's incompatible with most of the software on the market unless you buy a copy of windows to put on it? The fact that contrary to all the phoney hype when the reality is PCs outsell macs daily by 95%? The fact that you can buy a PC for half the price, twice the hardware, and with Windows already installed? I'm intrigued by the fact that someone who knows so little about the truth that they would even consider a computer without doing a little research.
