Why people do not realize USA is broke?
All this trash talk about money waste in government makes me sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. Obama is the worst at wasting tax dollars yes this can not be denied, but we as the people of this country need to pay attention that we just do not have the money. Is everybody stuck on stupid or what?

People don't realise that the whole Greedist economy is approaching a tipping point - currently the US's international debt and debt to private banks like the Federal Reserve are such that if the US population were taxed 100% on earnings for 10 years it wouldn't be enough...
Where does this debt come from? Much is owed to the Federal Reserve which prints money and charges interest on it to the US government (and hence the US population), devaluing the currency and inflating prices; some is in the form of bonds issued to foreign investors promising returns with interest (driving devaluation).
The root causes are short-termism in politics (looking to the next election) making unpalatable decisions politically suicidal and the expectation of ever-increasing living standards despite.reduced effort and productivity coupled with the drive for excessive profits through consumerism in the multinational corporations.

Well that's exactly the problem. The government wasting money on stupid things like spying on random Facebookers and the dreaded Obama care. We're always in debt, not at all Obama's fault, but we could easily cut spending, but that's not how our government rolls.
We all know America is basically bankrupt, but what can we do? Nothing. Our government is self serving and I no longer trust anyone in D.C. I feel our government is more secretive and working against us now more than ever.
We are all treated like minions that serve them. The social problems Obama has orchestrated are pitting us against each other. There is more racial tension now more than I ever remember in my life.
Everything is now race related. Our administration wants us dependent on them. They dont want people to to succeed. If you succeeded ur evil and racist and only got where u are because of the color of ur skin. Whites are demonized more than ever now.
This administration is here to destroy us. Not help us.

Two things. One, government spending is more effective to stimulating an economy than lowering taxes and the government is not going to raise taxes when there are bad economic times. One big problem that our government has is taxing large corporations. Our tax on corporations is 35% and most of them only end up paying 15-20% because they put their money in places like Bermuda, where there are little to no taxes to attract capital. People want the government to spend more and more, but if they raise taxes, all hell breaks lose. That's simple budgeting right there.. I mean what else do the people expect? They're spending more than they're taking in and we won't allow them to fix it. Two, tell our government to stop spending money on useless things like the military industrial complex, campaigns that are millions of dollars, stop making churches tax free, etc. if they are going to waste that money they might as well spend it on things that actually matter like NASA or higher education.
Source(s): My opinion. You might disagree, but this is how I feel. I also realize the government (at least at the federal level) seems to care less and less about us. I mean we are broke don't get me wrong, but we could be our of this if the government got their heads out of their asses. @wizards, yes they have, but like I said, it is at a point where that is hardly going to change anything because of the tremendous deficit.. By the way, Bush wasted over 1.5 trillion alone just from Afghanistan and Iraq. So before you start pointing fingers, realize how the problem first originated. "Conservatives" are supposed to be fiscally responsible, but every Republican one since Reagan has been the contrary of a conservative on spending and balancing a budget. I could rant about republicans, but then again Democrats have not really fulfilled their promises either. But don't criticize Obama for raising taxes when you conservative want to declare war on everything you consider a threat (drugs, middle eastern countries, etc) and expect to cut taxes and spend money on useless bullshit. I do not even agree with the ACA because I think our healthcare spending is inefficient when you look at how much of our total spending is spend on it compared to other countries. It also does not get rid of most problems. Anyways, At this point our country is ran by special interests, so like I said, I cannot say Democrats are much better. - calivetteLv 47 years ago
People know it they just don't want the good times to stop. We have a really bad day coming in the future where everything will just suddenly change in the future and screw over many that are lolly gagging right now.
