I'm going to retake the SAT, but are these scores decent?
So I live in Chagrin Falls, OH. I am a junior in high school. I took the SAT and got the following scores: 470 Reading. 480 Math, and 500 Writing. I plan retake the SAT at least 2 more times (I'm not clear on if the limit is 3 or if there is no limit). I hope to attend the University of Cincinnati.
I definitely will retake it at least twice more, but I have to know, are these scores decent?

There is no official limit on retakes but the reality is that colleges don't like to see more than 3 and they prefer 2. They also only want to see retakes that show clear score improvement, so make sure you dont retake until your preparation (or whatever class or tutoring you might get) have guaranteed that,
you can get into a 4 year college with what you have (which are slightly below average scores) but avg scores arent enough to get into an avg college. youd be picking from low end colleges and even then not guaranteed admission. but college really is more about what you put in and get out than what the colleges rank is, so dont let that bother you.
for UCincy you will want to aim for about a 1650 on your sats. if your unweighted gpa is 3.75 or higher, you can get away with lower scores. If your gpa is 3.0 or lower, you may need higher scores.

Look on the University of Cincinnati website to find the average SAT scores of entering freshmen. That will tell you how good your chances are. Your total score is under 1500. You need to bring it up but you do have one year to do it.
