what is a 12-volt auxiliary pwr outlet? Is that something i could hook my iphone music to?

saw a car with it online, just wondering what it is

    I think it's the round 'port' in the car that used to (unless you have an old car, then it still does) house the cigarette lighter. You can hook your iPhone up to it with an appropriate cable, I bought one for my 2004 Saturn on amazon. You have to find a clear radio channel to play the music through. However if you have a newer car, you should have a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack (you plug in a cable that has the same kind of tip as your headphones), usually inside the center console. Check your owners manual if you're not sure whether you have one.
