Do you support or oppose gay marriage?

This year has been and amazing year for homosexual rights, I personally support LGBT very strongly but I want to know what other people think.......?

Update:

By "amazing year" I mainly mean in the US. Many states this year have legalized or removed their ban on gay marriage

I'm not a proponent of marriage. If a two people want to get married, I can't see how their physical characteristics should make any difference to ANYONE. It's not your business, not my business and it's damned sure NOT the governments business.

Amazing year? I would say amazing year in Western countries but the complete opposite in non-Western.

In UK, France and many states in US, gay marriage & adoption is legalized. But if you go to Russia or India or very recently Uganda, they've just gotten more conservative on issues of gay rights.

I think for the future, we're gonna see more of this divide. Its hard for many non-Western societies to completely change their social order and adopt liberal Western culture. Even if a country somewhere in Asia or Africa passes law in favor of LGBT rights, it will go through huge resistance.

For Western countries, its only normal to shift to the left-side. I see more countries in Western Europe, North America and Oceania legalizing gay marriage & adoption.

Homosexuality is illegal in 83 countries in the world. There are countries where people face death penalty for being homosexual. The situation in Russia is a humanitarian disaster. Amazing? Well...

I support people's rights to live their lives as they please. (As long as they don't harm others of course.) If two persons (or three for that matter) want to get married then it's their business, not mine.
