Will the seizures return?

About a year ago, I was having very mild seizures for a couple of months. They stopped so I never went to a doctor.

Is it possible they could return? Could they have been due to stress?

This is definitely something you should see your doctor about. I have epilepsy myself and when I first started having seizures sometimes they would go away for months on end but always to return. Since they effect every aspect of your life it is better to try to prevent them. Your doctor will probably refer you to a neurologist who will send you for an EEG to determine if you are actually having seizures and from there you will either be diagnosed with epilepsy or not, probably an MRI to check your brain for abnormalities. I also had a cat scan after my first one although to be fair I'm not sure if the cat scan is a common thing. To be on the safe side it would be better to see a doctor because although many peoples seizures are brought on by stress, lack of sleep etc. (mine are brought on by these things) they can also be caused by other things such as tumours or traumatic brain injuries, illnesses. I highly doubt that you have any of those things but the more you know about seizures especially yours can help you feel more in control and less stressed about day to day living. On a lighter note depending on age some people actually out grow seizures because of changes to the body such as puberty. (my neurologist told me this) Good luck !
