My hamstring and gluteus keeps tightening up on me every time I work legs?
So basically I suffer from chicken leg syndrome and want to work out my legs often with weight lifting to pack on some muscle and also gain strength and agility for sports.
The only problem is, every time I do squats, dead lifts, or lunges, the area where the hamstring and gluteus muscles meet gets super tight and sometimes even feels like I pull it unless I stretch it IMMEDIATELY. It has gotten better as of late but that's because I'm constantly using a roller to roll out my leg after every set. This is really time consuming and annoying.
I have no problems with aerobic exercise when it comes to this muscle group. I stretch before and after every routine. My squats and dead lifts are at 95 lbs (I know). Anybody know anything I can do to make this issue disappear or at least lessen?

If they are getting tight that isn't bad. That is your body pumping blood to the are being worked, which encourages muscle growth. If you ever hear people saying they are "pumping iron" or "chasing the pump" that is what it's talking about. As for feeling like you pulled it, I don't know the exact sensation you are feeling, so I don't want to give you wrong advice and lead you to getting hurt. That is probably just you getting tired into the set, but it could be an issue with your hamstring or something. You should talk to a trainer at your school (if your in school or college, you didn't say), or a doctor about that. Really make sure you warm up well. With your stretches really push yourself like you would if you were lifting. Also, work up to your max weight. If it is 95 lbs, then get in a few warm up sets of 45 to 65lbs.
