Which console sounded better? The Genesis or SNES?
As a damned Millenium kid, I do not know the wonders of having a genuine Sega Genesis/Megadrive or a SNES and being emulator lag free and hearing the true sound of either console. I have played on a true Genesis (for once I am not talking about the band) but not long enough to notice its sound system.
So which console sounds better?
BQ: What are some kickass game soundtracks on either console?

The Genesis wasn't known to have the better tunes, but there were plentiful exceptions (Sonic, Golden Axe, Vectorman, Streets of Rage, Alien Soldier, etc). The SNES had a greater capability to emulate real genres of music then the Genesis could.
Some of my fave soundtracks from both systems:
Genesis
-Sonic The Hedgehog series
-Golden Axe series
-Vectorman series
-Streets of Rage series
-Alien Soldier
-Chakan
SNES
-Chrono Trigger
-Super Castlevania 4
-Kirby Super Star
-Super Mario RPG
-Star Fox
-Spawn
-Contra III
-Super Metroid
