what can i do for fun in the winter with my 14yr old son?

I play Video games w/my kids, I also watch funny vids of animals online too, we laugh til it hurts! Als, I can kick out a room quick when I 'ask' them to help w/painting...we work at improving our habitat rather then complaining about what needs to be done. ( gathering wood i.e.) They are apart of the creations, it gives them true pride & helps them later on w/life's tackles & their kids too...dreams can come true if you Connect to your kids w/being their friend too...be a parent when that's needed, but always treat them as an equal not a rule maker! I see fail over & over again w/this, do not believe other reads/media the supposed Specialist b/c in my intrinsic View it's me not them actually living this & experiencing my own life & the results from it period! They don't have a normal ever'day life like us & that's a reality that truth cannot deny yes? Whateverrr 'normal' is but ur own...lol...ask him what he likes,doesn't like etc...then it starts a duologue & gives u a view in his world/mind...don't act like a ruler or a know it all..(my mistake) allow them to voice his/her own selves & really listen, not merely hear...they will surprise you & Miracles really do happen...take walks/rides together it opens up the calm as s'well. Look@family photos, we laugh back when they were small, also the ole forbidding CHRISTMAS of days gone by may spring up a nervous laugh or two..music speaks when words fail too! .

If he resists you, ask him for a few hours one weekend per month or something. Reassure him that he won't die from spending a few hours with you with no friends.
