Question about downloading photos onto windows 8 laptop????
I'm trying to download photos on my window 8 laptop with my memory card, but it doesn't seem to work. The first memory chip I put in a list of options asking if I wanted to download or view the photos popped up and I clicked view just to look at them, but when I put in the second chip and was going to download them, the list of options didn't pop up. It just opened it automatically so I can view them in a file. I was wondering how I can download them?

When you clicked to view the photos, there was probably a checkbox that said "always do this for this device" or something similar. So now it will do that by default.
Personally, I would just download the free program Picasa from Google and let that import your photos. I use Picasa to manage my photos and do some light editing or to email sample images to people. For serious editing I use Adobe Lightroom and it can also be used to import images.
