What do Kenyi Cichlids eat?
When I went to get feeders yesterday, this guy out front of the store gave me a Kenyi because he said the store wouldn't take it, he is in an incubator in my tank, I can't release him because there is a piranha in there. The water is neutral slightly alkaline, but my piranha has been fine with it, and this Ph is suitable for the kenyi, but I gave him a chopped up hikari pellet but he won't eat it, he is a juvenile by the way.

You can feed them fresh or frozen glass worms, brine shrimp, beef heart, plankton, or bloodworms. They will also eat live crickets, feeder fish, and mealworms for a varied diet. Their diet also should have a wide range of vegetation such as cooked peas, zucchini and spinach. They sometimes will eat algae.
Though dried food such as tablets and granules are totally fine for their diet, they should be supplied time to time with natural, fresh food.
