What to do for a day in Port Canaveral Florida?
Our cruise ship will be stopping in Port Canaveral for the day in July and other than going to the beach, is there anything else to do? We don't want to spend the money to travel to Disney or Universal for the day. We have 2 teenage girls. Thanks for any suggestions!

You have placed this question in Miami Travel - Port Canaveral is about 250 miles from Miami. It is really only a port, not at a city. I suppose they want you to take the day tours to the theme parks. Yes there are beaches nearby - but not for swimming - Water too cold. About the only attraction close to the port is the Kennedy space center -almost adjacent and is certainly worth a visit. There is not much else..
