need help from certified dog trainer or behaviorist about a Doberman ,boerbul /germansheperd and a Rottweiler?
I have these 3 dogs and my uncle says that they are guard dogs so I shouldn't play with them or socialize them with people I should always be strict with them but is that really how police dogs are trained and is it right to hit them with your hands or with objects or does it affect them mentally
should they be allowed to socialize with strangers?

First of all, your uncle hasn't a clue what is done with police dogs. Police training facilities only train well socialized dogs that become part of a family to which the K-9 dog is assigned ... which means they are stable.
These are living beings with feelings and all and are not machines.
Unstable dogs can be fear bitters. Sounds like your uncle is afraid that the dogs will like someone else more than him.
Are these YOUR dogs or your UNCLE's? His dogs, he does what he wants and you need to respect his wishes unless he is abusing them.
If these are your dogs, I recommend you keep them away from your uncle.
Of course you do NOT hit a dog. You use a collar for corrections or other training devices. Hitting a dog creates shame and rage in the dog. Eventually enough mental stress and strain to cause disease and problems.
All animals need companionship and socialization, preferable with both humans and cats and dogs if they are felines and canines. It sounds like your uncle is treating these like objects.
Dobermans are VERY sensitive and need companionship and love as well as training, but not hitting.

Well...if they are YOUR dogs and not your uncles then its up to you how you treat them.
Are they actually used as guard dogs? Or are they family pet dogs?
Without more proper details your question is confusing.
ALL dogs owned by the public need to be socialised with people when pups so that they are safe and confident to be around them when they are adult dogs.
Even police dogs are well socialised so that they get used to being around people and they only do criminal work when commanded to by the handler when the situation demands it.. No, you do not train pet dogs by hitting them.
Guard dog training and PPD training is not something an amateur should attempt at any time.
You should always be a confident, calm and authoriative leader to any dog, and especially with the breeds you have mentioned.
I can only advise on the few details you have posted.
Your uncle sounds like a bit of a pratt! Jmo.

well first of all let me say that I am glad he's not my uncle !! I am presuming that they are your dogs', so keep him well away from them, dogs are indeed social animals and must be socialised from day one, military dogs and K9's are all wonderful animals that are not ill treated but infact bought up with families, for this idiot of a man to think otherwise is rather pathetic, and no,you do not hit them with hands or objects

Even police dogs have homes. Does your uncle think they work 24 hours a day?
