California emissions, Kia, 2008 Optima, Driving in from Idaho, Is this set to pass emissions in San Diago?

Looking at buying, leaving in 3 days, hauling my wife and stuff down, flying not best option.

2008, Kia Optima, 72,000 miles. Looks like a runner. Is she going to pass CA emissions? What does that take? Idaho guy doing the Navy thing there for a couple years.

What sticker do I need to look for that says it is good in all 50 states or what ever...

Info please.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Update:

Look what I found:

NOTE: Nonresident military personnel stationed in California or their spouses may operate their vehicles with valid out-of-state license plates from their home state or the state where the military person was last stationed.

Looks like being military will exempt me from having to register.

only if it's registered in CA. Whenever I pay my CA registration I have to get my truck smogged. I think it's every other year or every third year. Go to dmv.ca.gov for details on all that. If your car is from out of state, it obviously wouldn't be in their database and there are no smog police. Look up DL and reg requirements for how long you're going to live in the state

look for that all 50-state emission sticker that maybe on the door jam or on the inside hood.

Would believe for 2008 it'll should be all state legal. However sometimes California has a special catalytic converter just for California models...
