Annoyed at "fake" thumbs down?

No. I'm proud of my collection of "thumbs down". I work hard to get them. The only important thing is when the asker gives you a Best Answer.

If you don't want a thumbs down you have to give a "safe" answer. Unfortunately the profile pics of the users do have an influence as well, people are more likely to give a thumbs down if they don't like the profile pic. There are people who constantly get thumbs down for their answers JUST because of their profile pics. So to avoid that they may have to take their pics down. Remembers the majority of the people on this site are about 12 years old ( I know because I saw the age polls in the polls and surveys section ). So you're basically dealing with a lot of kids on here so you can expect immaturity and bullying.

The thumbs-down option is there to allow folks a safe place to vent a little. It has absolutely no effect on anything whatsoever. It is totally irrelevant.

Please learn to live comfortably with harmless disapproval and to be at peace with those who disagree with you. This totally irrelevant expression of opinion is the perfect place to practice that. Don't let it bother you because it means nothing.

Of course it bothers me, but at least I have a good feeling at myself that I tried to answer a question instead of doing nothing.

Ikr! It's just some people are rude like that! They're called "internet trolls" there these kids that go around and act annoying because their bored. Don't let it get to you, if you think that answer is good then its good. Thumbs don't really count if your that sensible of what others think. If you become level 2 please don't copy and thumbs down on comments it's annoying like you think right now and I don't think others would like it either...
