Summer intensive audition? Help!!!?
I've never done a summer intensive before and I have an audition for one coming up in a couple weeks. I'm 16 and I've been dancing for a really long time including 3 1/2 years of pointe, I just have never been able to do summer intensives because of money and timing issues. I'm auditioning for the ABT summer intensive and I also have to film an audition video for the English National Ballet School. Can anyone who has auditioned for ABT tell me exactly what it is like? If not, what is a normal summer intensive audition like? And for ENB, or any summer intensive video audition in general, besides the required steps they tell you to put in the video, is there anything else I need? Do you just keep the class music in the background during the exercises or do you put some other music over the top of everything when you edit it all together? I have no idea what I'm doing. Someone please help!!!

Hello! I have auditioned for ABT before and it is like a class. Remember to follow the dress code and preform your best. Make sure to have fresh tight, a leotard in good shape, no fly-a-ways, and put on a light amount of make-up. You want to look poised and prepared. Always bring extras of everything. I would also look into auditioning for other ballet intensives so you have other choices. If money is limiting you, apply for financial aid. Break a leg!
