College: Who would win in this post season format?

People who don't like the current post season format for college football sometimes try to make up their own, and here's what mine would look like if it were put in place this season.

Rose Bowl: 5 Stanford (Pac-12 Champion) vs. 4 Michigan State (Big Ten Champion)

Sugar Bowl: 2 Auburn (SEC Champion) vs. 6 Baylor (Big 12 Champion)

Orange Bowl: 1 Florida State (ACC Champion) vs. 2 Alabama (Wild Card 1)

Fiesta Bowl: 15 UCF (Top Ranked Non-AQ) vs. 7 Ohio State (Wild Card 2)

National Championship: Top 2 teams among the winners of the games above.

QUESTION 1.) Who do you think would win each of the bowl games above?

QUESTION 2.) Among those winners, which 2 would you select for the National Championship?

QUESTION 3.) Who do you think would win the National Title between the 2 teams you selected?

QUESTION 4.) Would you like this post season format better than the current system?

Rose Bowl:Stanford 24,Mich.St.16,Sugar Bowl:Baylor 47,Auburn 34,Orange Bowl:Florida St.33,Alabama 21,Fiesta Bowl:Ouio St. 42,UCF 31, Florida St. vs Ohio St. with Florida St winning 38-20 and I don't care for this format.I would like to see the top 8 rated teams to play in pre-picked bowl games the 3rd week in Dec.,then the 4 winners play in pre-picked bowl games the 4th week in Dec. then the 2 winners play in the regular NC game, the rest of the bowl games would not change except it would take 7 wins to get in because of fewer bowl games available. The result would be more money for the schools, sponsors and TV stations. There would be more butts in the bleachers because your cutting out the 6-6 teams and replacing with a play off game.

-stanford- good game and tough defenses on both sides. i just think stanford because theyve shut down really good offenses, while the big 10 is a defensive, power running conference to begin with

-baylor- baylor has a really good defense and we all know how good their offense is. auburn couldnt stop a nose bleed against teams that can throw. look at mizzou and georgia (as overrated as they were, they actually had a passing game)

-florida state- they have bad boys on defense. they can stop the run and pass extremely well. and we know they have offense. alabama sets up the passing game with the run. if fsu can stop the run with a 4-3, their secondary can stop the pass because mccarron isnt that good.

-ucf i think (btw, they are an aq team... the aac is just weak sauce)- i dont take it as a knock against osu, but ive seen ucf a few times, they can play and i just think they can at least hang with the buckeyes

-then, i think stanford would win. i dont know why, but i think they can do it.

-florida state would steamroll over ucf... its just happening and would beat out stanford because that triple option threat, which baylor has, but not really will kill the stanford defense.

edit: no because look how you left out #3 and #8. these bowl games are tied to conferences. even if the top 5 teams came out of a conference, only 2 can actually be in bcs bowls. and the aac doesnt have a tie in so they are disadvantaged and it leaves 1 less at-large bid, which means less of a chance that a non big 6 team can make it.

MSU, Auburn, 'Bama, and UCF would win. 'Bama and Auburn would play for the title, and 'Bama would win.

Starting next season a committee will choose 12 teams to participate in a playoff with the semifinal and final games rotating among six existing bowls -- the Orange, Rose, Cotton, Chik-Fil-A, Fiesta, and Sugar.
