What would my gpa be?
I am a freshman in high school, and would like to know what my GPA would be. I'm not sure how to calculate it but here are my grades:
96- PreAp English I
88-PreAp Geometry
84-Dual Cred. Biology (College)
93- PreAp World Geography
96-PreAp Spanish 2
95- BIM (College Technology Cass)
Would that make a good/bad GPA and what advice can anyone give to help me improve my grades and get scholarships? Could I get a minority scholarship since I'm African American?
**All of my classes are honors except the 2 college classes listed.
** These are my first semester grades.

You didn't state your GPA scale, but this is the one I will use:
AP/College Level: A = 5.0, B = 4.0, etc.
Pre-AP/Honors: A = 4.5, B = 3.5, etc.
College Prep/Academic: A = 4.0, B = 3.0, etc.
Add those up and average them out.
4.5 + 3.5 + 4.0 + 4.5 + 4.5 + 5.0 = 26 points
You took 6 classes, so that is 26/6 = 4.3333 GPA
Your GPA on a weighted scale (the one I use) is 4.333, and it is quite high.
It is a good GPA, but to improve your grades, that is a problem. I don't know you, your habits, and I don't know WHY you missed points in your classes. What you should do is identify the problem, and FIX that, and keep your motivation high. Best of luck.
