I need help buying a camera for my youtube videos?
Link to intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1WENXhlenk
Listen to the sound in the intro, and continue to watch until it starts my voice overs.
I've gotten a lot of complaints on the sound.
I use an iPhone 4S to do all my recording. Obviously I need to upgrade.
I just need a suggestion on a lapel mic (wired) 6-10 feet away from camera standing, sounding similar to the voice overs.
and a suggestion on a camera 1080p or 720p for youtube format.
I don't need anything greater than youtube quality and I'm willing to spend between $200-$300 bucks.
Please help

You should just record your audio on an external recorder that is near you. If you want to upgrade the camera get a Canon HF R400. Record you audio on your Iphone using the app "I-recorder". Have the I-phone just below you while you are talking or put it on a mount and use as a microphone. You will need to sync the audio in post but you can do this without much trouble. Go to YouTube and search for audio synching, there are several good videos there that show you how to do this. This is the cheapest way to do this as the camera is $200 and you already have the Iphone for the audio part.

Try a Canon Powershot, it is a digital camera but it's wonderful for this type of stuff. I use mine for everything, I even filmed a full length movie. I believe it's like 90 - 200 dollars depending on which model. I paid 97.00 on amazon.
