Why are people so judgmental?

For example if you ace english yet in maths class you fail, those around you will judge you on the low marks on your paper and probably tease you about nonstop until they either find the decency to move on, or something more excitable happens and they move onto that. Yet in reality there are things they are not good at that you excel in. Why do they see you as a failure if you are bad at something they are good at? And why do they always focus on and remember everything you are bad at rather than what you are good at?

People can't take criticism so they give it instead. It's ok just take it as constructive criticism and grow from it. It's hard to do that I know, but that just confirms that its right. The right thing is usually the harder choice to make.
