How can I stop being outdone by my best friend?
My best friend, I love her to death, but she always has to be the best and have attention on her. Whenever I am around other people and she is not there, I shine and people like me a lot better. But when I am with her, all attention is on her and people always take me as a shy and quiet type which I am not! It is like I am not even there at all. Basically what I am saying is how can i stop being put aside by other people when my friend is there? I am so tired of being ignored, misunderstood, and outdone. She is my best friend, but I am sick of her always being in the spotlight. It is my turn. Can anyone help me?
Also it usually only happens when we are around boys if that makes a difference.

SAME WITH ME except im a boy. its really annoying when that happens, im talking and he interrupts and everyone listens to him, i walk away annoyed and no one notices. but if he isnt around eveeryone notices.
