If I buy a car in Canada for export to the US, do I have to pay the HST?

If I buy a used car in Ontario and drive it to NY and register it as my personal vehicle. Do I need to pay the Ontario HST tax? Or do I get it deducted from my Duty fee at the border?

Update:

I am a US Citizen, Living in the US, I will buy the car at a dealer in Canada and bring it to the US for use here.

If you buy any vehicle form a dealership you will have to pay tax when you buy it and you can not drive a vehicle that is not registered with the ministry of transport so you will pay them a tax when it is registered so you will be taxed twice before you can even drive it to the border and then they will charge you whatever they want to import the car into the US then you need to get it inspected to make sure it is safe for US roads.
