My Lexmark X4530 all in one printer cannot scan documents or pictures to my Laptop running windows 8.?

Nothing suggested on the Lexmark web site works. I have downloaded all the drivers they say are suppose to help with no results. Of course they offer no fix for Windows 8, they say the suggestions for Windows 7 will cure the problem. Guess what? Is there a solution?

    Have you followed the instructions in the User's Manual?

    See page 63 for the start of info for scanning.

    Make sure the complete software driver suite is installed & configured on your computer.

    If you're connected to the printer wirelessly, the printer may not support scans to computer over a wireless connection (many don't).

    You need to go to Lexmark support and download and install the printer software and driver for Windows 8 if it is available if not buy a printer that is compatible with Windows 8.
