What'e the best route for getting an MBA and going into avertising?

My cousins have MBA's and one of their spouses has an entire family of people with the same degree. They all do different things like sales, management, etc. I have been interested in advertising, but didn't know if I should also focus on a minor or what would be best. Anyone getting their degree or graduated and doing something similar?

You should go for MBA in Advertising and Marketing program so that you can learn best practices of marketing sector.

Advertising and Marketing has very good scope in near future.

Further, you can also opt for distance learning MBA program in marketing, this way you can apply new tactics in real world scenario of advertising simultaneously while learning those skills and habits.

I am currently studying International Business at Berkeley College in NYC (http://www.berkeleycollege.edu)/ and I am also interested in advertising and marketing. What I have done is use my knowledge and skills that I am getting from business school and applied them to the advertising industry. I have done a couple internships, and I think it's what matters the most. Maybe instead of doing an MBA you want to do internships first and try to get one foot on the industry. Also, for my electives at Berkeley I chose a lot of subjects that have to do with advertising and marketing, which also helped!

If you are seriously interested in advertising, then you can opt for WLCI Design School directly. It is a reputed institute with 11 campuses all over India and offers industry-relevant courses. Their undergraduate full-time B.A. in Advertising & Graphic Design and Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design are quite valuable in terms of course-structure and teaching methodology. They have a traineeship programme with the opportunity to “earn while you learn.”

WLCI has further launched a scholarship programme through which students can avail up to 100% scholarship after clearing a test. The Last Day for Registration is 10th January, 2014 and you can apply at http://wlciadmissions.in/scholarship.
