my Acer laptop tells me to go to bios or insert a boot up disk when i turn it on why?
after turning it off and on a few times it will boot up as it should any one know whats going on ?

go to the bios and pick the hard disk for booting the system .and save .ur good

Assuming that you didnt drop it...
first check the warranty and if its still good send it back to te factory, get your RMA and shipping labels from them.
otherwise...
If you have the recovery discs then this will be a snap
-reload everything from the recovery discs that will fix your bootloader
if that does not work because it won't find a primary disk drive then
-get another hard drive 2.5 in size with like at least 500 gigs and pull out the original and then install from the cd. looking at like 60 bucks to do that.
If you dont have the recovery disc
- see if you can boot into recovery from bios
if not
- take your laptop to someone who can restore it for you.

Your master boot up file. (windows) is corrupt and is about to totally crash so be ready to reinstall windows soon.

your hdd connection to the motherboard is loose.
try to reconnect it.
if that doesnt work then thyat means either your hdd is going bad or ur os is getting corrupted.
