My new laptop with okay good processor lags/doesnt Work too well while playing SWTOR?

My laptop runs on Windows 8, and from what I heard, it has some pretty nice specs. I got it in a Christmas present from my dad for about 5500 DDK. (about 1000$)

Windows 8 64-bit

i7-3537U CPU 2.00 GHz (4CPUs) - 2.5 GHz

Graphic Card Nvidia Geforce 740M

8 GB RAM

DirectX is updated to 11

Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000

Have i forgotten something?

It started to lag while playing some hours of SWTOR, and it was after i took the settings down to low. my FPS was about 60. Before that while playing SWTOR my laptop was making noises/getting hot, but it does not while im not gaming.

Weird cause, the download speed of my pc while It installed SWTOR was about 3-4 mb/sec (have heard it is a good download speed)

I played League of legends with graphic quality on mid-high and my laptop only got abit hot.

What is wrong with it? need help quickly please.

(have tried closing unecessary background programs)
