What does it mean to have followers on Y!A?

I'm in the US but don't like the format. When I first log on Y!A I see that I have four followers, but no following. What does all this mean?

    It's the equivelant to fans on the old version. 4 people followed you (became your fans) but you're not following anyone back.

    You're their contacts, but you don't have any contacts yourself.

    It means that some people find your questions or answers interesting.
