I did a 25% water change a day after using Tetra Safe Start, did I screw up?

I didn't know your supposed to wait 7-14 days until you do a water change. Will the safe start still work or should i go buy a new bottle and try again. I'm trying to do a fish in cycle on a new tank.

Safe Start is a fancy Gimmick ok it can help a bit but to be honest doing a water change makes no difference .No you dont need another bottle .

    doesn't matter that much

as long as you don't overclean the filter

    or overfeed the fish

just continue to do weekly 25% changes and don't feed more than once or twice a week until the 6 week cycle period is over.

do not clean the filter materials unless they're clogged,

and never clean all of them at one time

don't buy any additional fish until the cycle is done.
